Become a part of a vibrant community of artists and makers at Midway Clay. Memberships at Midway offer 24/7 access to our studio space, perfect for potters interested in working independently. The membership fee includes the use of community tools and glazes, classroom wheels, and other shared equipment. Members are also invited to participate in three gallery shows per year.
Membership Levels
Midway Clay offers several different membership levels for potters interested in working independently.
You must have taken a class at Midway or be able to demonstrate adequate clay experience to become a member. Otherwise, we encourage you to check out our class offerings.
Members at Midway Clay help keep the studio clean and respect the space and work of other potters. Our membership rules are available upon request and will be provided at the time of purchase.
Limited Membership
$150/month
Up to 15 hours per month of 24/7 studio access
Work in the community classroom or large studio room (classroom is not available during class times)
Access to community tools, glazes, electric wheels, extruder, slab roller
Limited storage space available
Must purchase clay and kiln firing separately
Unlimited Membership
$200/month

Other Membership Options
Midway Clay periodically has other spaces available for rental, including full 10’ by 10’ spaces in our main work room, semi-private spaces, and budget-friendly basement space. We also occasionally offer work exchange opportunities for members.
Kiln Rental
Midway Clay offers firing space available to rent for the ceramics community. We have both gas and electric kilns, including a 35-cubic-foot gas car kiln. Pricing is dependent on the volume of space needed and the temperature of the firing. You do not need to be a member or a student at Midway Clay to rent kiln space.
Our Spaces
Midway Clay boasts a 450-square-foot front gallery space, a community classroom with 10 electric wheels, a large shared work space, and a kiln room.
